about us.

Prestbury Pets was established by Pam Tyers, who has lived in Prestbury for almost 10years and holds an MSc with distinction in Animal Behaviour.

I have always had a love of animals. As I grew older I became fascinated by the behaviours they display and how humans can affect those behaviours. In 2012 reorganisations within the company I had worked in for twenty years presented me with an opportunity to turn what was a hobby and an interest into a career. I returned to university to study for an MSc in Animal Behaviour which I completed, gaining a distinction, in 2013. I have volunteered at Windyway Animal Sanctuary for almost 2 years walking the dogs and caring for cats they look after and aim to rehome. I have also assisted the Search And Rescue Dogs Association by volunteering as a ‘dogsbody’ an essential part of all dogs training in finding real bodies.

Living in Prestbury, I decided to set up Prestbury Pets to provide a level of service suitable to the needs of the local community.

At Prestbury Pets we believe in putting safety first. We are fully insured against public liability and other associated risks.  We also have canine first aid training and carry water and first aid kits on all our walks.  Our vehicle has three fully air-conditioned dog compartments to transport your dogs in comfort and safety.
For your peace of mind we have Basic Disclosure Checks (formally CRB) and can provide references upon request.
